Terms And Conditions

1. Definitions

“The Company”, “We”, “Us”, or “Our” refers to GLS Lighting Solutions, registered and operating in Malta.

“The Buyer”, “Customer”, or “You” refers to any individual, company, or third party purchasing goods or services from the Company.

“Goods” refers to any products supplied by the Company.

“Order” refers to any confirmed purchase submitted through our website, showroom, social media channels, telephone, email, or any other communication method accepted by the Company.

By placing an order with the Company, the Buyer confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

The Company reserves the right to amend or update these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.


2. Product Information

All product descriptions, specifications, images, dimensions, and illustrations provided on our website, social media pages, quotations, or marketing material are intended for general guidance only.

While every effort is made to ensure accuracy, slight variations, omissions, or updates may occur. If additional information or clarification is required, customers are encouraged to contact us before placing an order.


3. Colours & Finishes

We make every effort to display product colours and finishes accurately. However, actual colours may vary depending on screen settings, manufacturing tolerances, and lighting conditions.

The Company cannot guarantee that colours displayed on electronic devices will exactly match the final product.


4. Prices & Quotations

All prices displayed are inclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.

Prices, promotions, product availability, and specifications may be updated or changed without prior notice.

Unless otherwise specified in writing, quotations remain valid for 30 days from the date issued.

Quotations are not binding until the Company confirms acceptance of the order.


5. Orders & Cancellations

Orders may be placed through our website, showroom, telephone, email, or social media platforms.

The Company reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order where:

  • Incorrect or incomplete information has been provided.
  • Products become unavailable.
  • Pricing errors occur.
  • Fraudulent or suspicious activity is suspected.

Cancellation requests for standard stocked items must be submitted within 48 hours of order confirmation and before dispatch.

Special-order items, customised products, cut materials, and made-to-order products cannot be cancelled once confirmed.

The Company reserves the right to apply administrative or handling charges for cancelled deliveries or refused orders.


6. Delivery & Collection

Delivery Policy

Free delivery is available only for orders exceeding €150.00.

For orders below €150.00, a delivery charge will apply and will be quoted accordingly.

Customers may also choose to collect their goods directly from our showroom.

Collection-Only Items

The following products are strictly collection only and are not eligible for delivery:

  • LED Strips;
  • Light fittings with integrated LED;
  • Fragile or specially designated products are advised by the Company.

Delivery Times

Delivery schedules may vary between morning and afternoon, Monday to Friday.

While we always strive to accommodate preferred delivery times, exact delivery times cannot be guaranteed due to scheduling, traffic conditions, weather, or operational requirements.

The Company shall not be held liable for delays outside its reasonable control.


7. Payments

Payment in full must be made before or upon delivery, collection, or completion of installation works unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Accepted payment methods include:

  • Cash;
  • Bank Transfer;
  • Debit/Credit Cards;
  • Approved electronic payment methods.

Cheques

The Company does not accept cheque payments under any circumstances.

For large or special orders, a deposit or full prepayment may be required before processing.

Ownership of goods remains with the Company until full payment has been received and cleared.


8. Returns, Exchanges & Non-Returnable Goods

The Company does not accept returns or exchanges on:

  • Opened products;
  • Used or installed products;
  • LED strips;
  • Cut-to-size materials;
  • Special-order or customised items;
  • Electrical items that have been opened, installed, or tampered with.

Returns may only be considered at the sole discretion of the Company and must:

  • Be approved in advance.
  • Be unused;
  • Be in original sealed packaging;
  • Be accompanied by proof of purchase.

Approved returns may be subject to handling or restocking charges.


9. Damaged, Faulty or Incorrect Goods

Customers are responsible for checking goods immediately upon receipt or collection.

Any shortages, damages, defects, or incorrect items must be reported within 24 hours of delivery or collection.

Where a valid claim is accepted, the Company may, at its discretion:

  • Repair the product.
  • Replace the product.
  • Issue a credit or refund where appropriate.

The Company shall not be liable for any indirect losses, installation costs, labour costs, or consequential damages arising from faulty or incorrect goods.


10. Warranty

Products supplied by the Company are covered only by the manufacturer’s warranty where applicable.

Warranty does not cover:

  • Improper installation;
  • Misuse or abuse;
  • Incorrect voltage or electrical faults;
  • Water damage;
  • Normal wear and tear;
  • Unauthorized modifications.

Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.


11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential losses;
  • Loss of profits;
  • Delays caused by suppliers, couriers, or circumstances beyond our control;
  • Improper installation or use of products.

The Company’s maximum liability shall not exceed the value of the goods supplied.


12. Privacy & Data Protection

Customer information is collected solely for order processing, delivery, communication, and customer support purposes.

All personal data is handled in accordance with applicable Maltese and EU data protection laws, including the GDPR.

Customer information will never be sold or shared with third parties except where necessary to complete transactions or comply with legal obligations.
